Liana Dickerson
At three months old, I was discovered abandoned outside the gates of a pharmaceutical company. Later I found myself in an orphanage in the Fujian Province, located in southern China. Luckily, I came home to my amazing family at six months old and have lived in Ohio ever since.
Being one of the only people in my town of Asian descent made me feel like an outsider and being an adoptee made it worse. Surrounded by people who didn't make me feel welcomed has allowed me to adapt to unique circumstances. Although these were difficult times, they empowered me to move forward.
A whole new world of opportunity opened up when I started school at The Ohio State University. For the first time, I felt like I belonged somewhere and it allowed me to be the person I always wanted to be. Then, a wave of dread washed over me when I couldn't afford to go to school and had to take time off to come up with the money.
During my time off, I worked three jobs, changed my major, wrote down my goals for the next two years, and got to work. I budgeted and saved as much money as I could to go back to school part-time and worked my way up to full-time. Finally, in December of 2020, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science.
It is through my experiences that I want to help other people in similar situations. My goal is to improve the lives of others using my skills, knowledge, and background.

Letter of Recommendation
To whom it may concern:
It is with great pleasure I write this letter of recommendation for Liana Dickerson. I was her reporting manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
Liana was an absolute joy to have on the sales team. As my go-to intern, she was extremely reliable, punctual, and professional. Liana always went above and beyond as it relates to her daily sales, marketing, and support of team. As an intern, Liana obtained her property and casualty license while helping the team exceed sales quotas.
Liana needed very little daily supervision, and fearless when taking on new tasks outside of her regular responsibilities. Liana was known for being proactive, taking on tasks some 3-5 year insurance specialists were hesitant to incorporate in their day to day activities, and voiced her ideas to corporate head-figures that could advance the company going forward.
Liana was and remains a member of the Liberty Mutual family, and would be an excellent candidate for any position within your organization and I highly recommend her.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions regarding Liana Dickerson.

Letter of Recommendation
To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter of recommendation for Liana Dickerson. I have known Liana for 3 years and have nothing but positive things to share. Liana started with Liberty Mutual Insurance as an intern for our Columbus West sales team. During most of my tenure at Liberty Mutual, I had the pleasure of working with Liana. She assisted me on many projects, outings, events, and helped grow my book of business. It was well known that she became a crucial member of our team.

Liana brings a hardworking and positive attitude to anything she does. While a detail oriented worker, she also obtains qualities of a critical thinker and can think quick on her feet. She's presented out-of-the-box ideas that are critical to any business plan and future possibilities within the company. Her positive attitude is infectious and can motivate any single member of the team.
Liana was a great co-worker who I felt nurtured the team and kept them going during hard times. Her character stands above all and she is truly a good person. She is one of the most honest and kind people I know. Liana has given back to her community, volunteering both on her personal time and during company outreach hours. I would recommend her to anyone based on her skill set, career goals, and the initiative she possesses.
Please do not hesitate on contacting me if you have any further questions or requests.
